With all that is happening on the website, namely the creation of the new Mug Shop news blog, Mug of the month awards as well as the launch of our become a designer scheme we have not spent as much time as we would have liked on the creation of new mug designs.
Well that is all about to change as we are now going to introducing new designs regularly for your enjoyment both in-house and from freelance designers and partners.

If you are really set on scaring someone for Halloween then have a look at our skulls personalised mugs range which has been designed by the illustrator Clem Wigley. Quite simply its a skull design that will freak people out as you tip your drink up and sip from the top of the skull.

Clem was asked to do a range of monster mugs specifically for the Mug Shop that would be both funny and at the same time gruesome and his range of Monster Mugs are surely that.
With the success of the Monster Mugs range both through our online shop and High street retailers,Clem has once again decided to team up with the mug shop to create a new range of Squirmy mug designs. With the introduction of the Mug of the month awards we felt it would be the perfect time to also introduce our You design scheme which is open to anyone, not just professional designers.
The scheme allows you to submit a mug design to us, or several, and if we think it is good enough we will add it to our online catalog.

When someone buys a mug with the your design on, you will receive £1 if your design is personalised, 70p for a non personalised designs and £1.30 for photo mug designs, which roughly equated to a 10% commission. So if you think you have a good design, send it to us and we will do the rest.
For help on sizing your designs to make them suitable for mugs click here. If you want to create your design from scratch then use the following dimensions: width 20cm x height 8cm with a resolution at 150ppi and they can be in full colour RGB.

It’s taken a while but its finally here……………….
From the very first day we went live, the staff at mug shop have been enjoying the designs that customers have create for their mugs. Some of the wording on personalised mugs has been touching, silly, rude and damn right hilarious. Just as impressive have been the host of truly brilliant Design your own mug creations which have left us in wonder of the depth of your creativity. Then there have been the photo mugs which in all honesty mostly lean towards the wacky side and tend to make us smile and sometimes guffaw. (seriously, that’s the sound we have been heard to make.)
Mug of the month competition is launched
With so many funny and brilliant mug designs being created we have always chatted about putting them up on the website so that others can share in the fun and finally its happening because every month from now on (and if we get time, retrospectively) we are going to select the best mug designs created by you and post them here for everyone can see .
The designs selected for inclusion each month will receive a £10.00 discount voucher which can be uses against any future mug shop purchase.

bulk business mugs
We get a lot of enquiries from companies and organisations asking for discounted bulk mug quantities. So here’s a beginners guide to business mugs to make that job a little easier.
The beauty of purchasing your business mugs from the Mug Shop is that we offer quantity price breaks if you order over a certain quantity. So, for example, we offer one price for 5-49 mugs and a cheaper price for between 50-99 mugs and then another even cheaper from for over 100 mugs. So if you are going to buy mug within the quantities shown then have a look at our Bulk Mug Orders Section.
If you don’t want a large quantity of mugs then that’s not a problem either because unlike screen printing which has large setup costs our mug printing process comes with no setup fees so if you want 5 or 10 mugs that’s fine.
As for artwork we normally print at 300dpi which means that if you want the best print quality on your mug then save your design at this resolution for the optimum results. To help you with designing your bsuiness mug have a look at our range of blank mug templates that are pre-sized to make the design process easier.
